How the mechanism works, in plain terms
The Saccharomyces cerevisiae strain is microencapsulated in a shell of inactivated yeast cells, which protects the live culture from the high temperatures of pelleting (up to ±90°C) and the stomach's acidic environment. This lets the yeast reach the gut still viable, where it improves nutrient digestion, stimulates the immune response and suppresses pathogenic microflora.
