How the mechanism works, in plain terms
Kluyveromyces marxianus grows faster than the other yeast cultures in the portfolio and stays active at pelleting temperatures of 85–90°C. In the GI tract, the strain suppresses pathogen growth (including complete inhibition of Staphylococcus aureus and Salmonella enterica within 48 hours in laboratory trials) and boosts the animal's antioxidant defences.
